Clarinettist
A brief introduction
Gerbrich Meijer, originally from the Netherlands, is an internationally active chamber musician, soloist and orchestral player. In December 2023 her debut album for AVRO TROS was released. Gerbrich is a nominee of Dutch Classical Talent of 2023/24, the Grachtenfestival Award 2022 and recipient of the 'Special Prize' at the Carl Nielsen International Competition 2022. Currently pursuing her Soloist Class Degree at the Royal Danish Academy of music. Gerbrich is a recent graduate for the Master of Music degree at the esteemed Colburn Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles, where she studied with Professor Yehuda Gilad.

In 2022 Gerbrich was soloist with among others Camerata Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. She has performed with symphony orchestras like the Londen Symphony Orchestra, The Concertgebouw Orchestra, Danish Radio, Residentie Orkest, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Copenhagen Philharmonic and the European Union Youth Orchestra. Previously, Gerbrich studied with John Kruse at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen where she graduated with the highest distinction. Furthermore Gerbrich toured with her, interdisciplinary One Woman Show throughout the Netherlands. For 2025 one of the season highlights will be her solo debut with the Radio Orchestra in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam

Debut CD with
Felix Quartet is out!
The first Gerbrich's album is out!

Recorded in October 2023 in the Evangelische Broedergemeente, Zeist, the CD just get released. Gerbrich Meijer and the Felix Quartet propose a program around the main piece Mozart Clarinet Quintet. Still on this album, Gerbrich plays the Béla Kovács Hommages à J.S. Bach which shows all the warmth and virtuosity of the clarinet serving this 3'34 music piece in the pure style of Bach.
